On January 12, 2019, Carriage House Automotive Restorations hosted a Shop Tour for a local area car club, the Frankfort Car Club. We had several customer vehicles on display including recently completed projects and projects that are in progress currently. The turn out for the shop was excellent even though our Area had a snowstorm that day. The Shop’s Lead fabricator, Jim Schouten did a metal forming demonstration for the attendees and discussed the differences in techniques for various different alloys. Jim draws on several years experience in metal forming and shaping as well as his continued pursuit of knowledge and understanding of modern vehicle metallurgy to support the collision repair work done at our shop. We believe that this outing was a success and we look forward to hosting the club again next year to see the new and exciting projects we will be working on then.
Refreshments, including auto manufacturer logo branded cookies were provided courtesy of one of our collision and restoration customers, Beth Conaghan of ReMax 10. Beth is car lover and her 1967 Buick GS was present at the Shop Tour.
